Rivo, the 26-year-old self-taught DJ and producer from Brive-la-Gaillarde, first broke through internationally in 2024 with his official remix of Disclosure's "You & Me," which propelled his name onto the global stage. Since then, his rework of Armin Van Buuren's "In & Out of Love" and his debut original "Last Night" have each surpassed 50 million streams, cementing his status as one of the most exciting talents in contemporary dance music. With a sound that weaves together melodic techno and afro drums and over 200 shows across the globe since 2024, including a residency at UNVRS Ibiza alongside Eric Prydz and performances at Tomorrowland, Drumsheds London and Club Space Miami, Rivo has proven himself one of the most sought-after bookings on the international circuit.
Doriann, meanwhile, has steadily established himself as one of the leading rising names in the new generation of electronic music, known for his melancholic-melodic sound, wide versatility, and the driving groove that defines his productions. His breakthrough single "Mention," released on Solomun's Diynamic imprint, earned him global exposure and airplay on BBC Radio 1, and his catalogue has grown to include notable releases on John Summit's Experts Only label, Ultra Records, Simulate and Drumcode. It was Doriann's dark and energetic release "Nocturnal" on Experts Only, co-produced with Adam Sellouk, that caught Rivo's attention and sparked the idea for a collaboration.
"I had been following Doriann for a longtime, having played Nocturnal with Adam Sellouk a lot. We exchanged a lot of ideas, I really wanted something with the same dark club energy, with a catchy hook, and 'Taka Taka' definitely delivers all that. Very excited for this record, and for a first release on Tomorrowland Music." - Rivo
The two artists set out to craft something that carries maximum impact whether it lands on a main stage or inside a packed club, pursuing a balance of raw drive and a groove that is impossible to resist. To complete the picture, they brought in a catchy Latin vocal that grabs the listener from the first bar and refuses to let go. The result is "Taka Taka," a track that feels both tantric and captivating. A meeting of two distinct worlds that, once combined, lock seamlessly into place.
With Rivo boasting a combined audience of over one million across TikTok and Instagram and Doriann's music becoming a fixture at the world's leading festivals, the collaboration arrives with serious momentum behind it.
"Taka Taka" is out now on Tomorrowland Music.
