Beleza, Portuguese for beauty, made its debut on July 3 with "So What" by unfazed, immediately signalling its intent as a home for emotionally rich, globally minded electronic music. "Solar Skin" continues that story, bringing Carlita into the Beleza family for a collaboration that had been in the making long before it ever reached the studio. The connection between the two artists was sparked during Carlita's last visit to Brazil, a trip that set off a creative exchange leading to several ideas being developed together. Of all of them, "Solar Skin" stood out from the very first session, and the track has already been receiving strong support well ahead of its release.
The single arrives with vivid live context. Last weekend, Carlita and Malive shared the CORE stage at Tomorrowland for a back-to-back set, offering thousands of festival-goers a real-time preview of the chemistry the record captures. Malive will also perform at Tomorrowland's Crystal Garden stage on Friday July 24, the day "Solar Skin" drops, making release day a full-circle moment between stage and studio. With the festival crowd still buzzing from that CORE stage performance, the record gives that shared energy a lasting place to live.
Malive is a polymathic creative force and multi-platinum producer, musician and DJ whose work moves through the space where waves, frequencies and emotion meet. Carlita, born Carla Frayman, is a Turkish-Italian DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist known for blending classical training with psychedelic and global rhythms. Her debut album "Sentimental," released in 2024 on Ninja Tune, showcases a genre-bending sound that fuses deep house, downtempo and melodic techno with Turkish psychedelia and 90s rock. That same year she signed to Counter Records, underlining her rapid ascent in the electronic music world. She has performed at Coachella, Burning Man and Tomorrowland, and co-founded Senza Fine, a multidisciplinary platform merging music, visual arts and fashion.
